Real Carolina Mantis and Sanddragon Taxidermy

The Carolina Mantis (Stagmomantis carolina) are a species found all throughout South, Central, and North America. They are known to catch and eat other bugs, and females have been observed in labs to cannibalize the males, which are typically smaller. 

The Common Sanddragon (Progomphus obscurus)  are a very common species found in most of North America, often near water sources. They lay their eggs in water which later hatch into larvae. These are two insects I have found myself by luck! Both were not alive when I found them.

These are mounted in a composite wood and plexiglass 5x7 frame.
